Mariposa Place is a unique and exciting Adult Day Health Care program that provides life-enhancing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We integrate individual choice and need with supportive-community based opportunities while offering experiences in the creative arts. Through art, our Friends (participants) are given the opportunity to improve fine and gross motor skills, stimulate intellectual growth, feel connected to a group and accepted by their peers.
In addition to the arts-focused programming, Friends may participate in a large variety of group and individual person-centered activities such as gardening, cooking, book club, exercising, fantasy football league, Music Therapy, bible study, playing basketball and caring for chickens. Natural community connections made through our off-site activities to a dance studio, Planet Fitness, J-town bingo and much more. Additional activities are provided based on the Friend’s desires and needs.
Mariposa Place is more than just a Licensed Adult Day Health Care facility for adults. We provide skilled nursing services (in our ADHC), Physical, Speech and Occupational Therapy, Behavior Supports, Nutritional and Psychological services for both adults and children. Our licensed staff have combined 20+ years of IDD experience. Services are available in our outpatient clinic and in the community.
